I still remember the struggles of my father, a small-scale farmer, who worked tirelessly to provide for our family. Despite his hard work, he faced numerous challenges in accessing markets, credit, and quality inputs. This experience sparked a passion in me to make a difference in the lives of fellow farmers.

Through our cooperative, we have implemented innovative initiatives such as:
  • Collective purchasing and sales, reducing costs and increasing profits for our members
  • Access to quality seeds, fertilizers, and equipment, boosting yields and efficiency
  • Training and capacity-building programs, enhancing our members' skills and knowledge
  • Direct market access, eliminating middlemen and ensuring fair prices for our produce
The impact has been remarkable so far:
  • Average income increases of 33% for our member-farmers
  • 20% reduction in production costs
  • 45% increase in total sales revenue
As a cooperative, we are committed to sustainable agriculture practices, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility. We are proud to be part of a global movement that's redefining the way agriculture is practiced and perceived.

Our Vision
 

I am proud to be the vision bearer and chairperson board of directors of Greater Kamuli Agribusiness farmers’ cooperative society ltd, a farmer-led cooperative that's transforming the agricultural landscape in districts of Kamuli, Buyende and Kaliro that form the ‘Greater Kamuli’. Founded in 2020 as a community-based organization and formally registered in 2023 as a fully regulated farmer’s cooperative by ministry of trade, industry and cooperatives., our cooperative has grown to about 6000 member-farmers, working together to improve their livelihoods and contribute to the local economy.
